STEP ONE: watch the movie.
STEP TWO: let's talk.
This summer, we've chosen six movies that we'll use as a launching point for conversations about who we are, who God is, and how He interacts with us in the real world every day. The films range from blockbuster comic celebration to bloody murder send-up. All of these films are laced with the culture that we live in every day.
We know that some of the content of the films may be difficult to view [e.g., there is significant violence in No Country...] but we intentionally chose not to shy away from the art that our peers celebrate and produce each year. Instead, we're taking a critical look at how we can understand ourselves and the world we live in through the filter of our art and film.
We truly believe that God's intention to redeem the world and our own lives shows up in the most surprising of places. These movies are no exception.
